Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam and her family test positive for COVID-19
Indian singer Sonu Nigam has tested positive for COVID-19 with his family, joining a long list of Bollywood celebrities battling the virus amid the third Omicron wave.
In a video posted on Instagram, the actor he had just returned from filming in India and may have contracted the virus during this trip.
“I’m in Dubai, but I had been to India to play Bhubaneswar and shoot for ‘Super Singer season 3’. I got tested and was positive for COVID-19. I got re-tested, I was still positive. I got re-tested, re-tested, re-tested and always tested positive. But I think people will have to live with it, ”Nigam said in a video message to his fans, accompanied by a Happy New Year message.
“I did concerts while suffering from more serious viral and throat infections… It’s much better than that,” said Nigam, opening a song to prove that his magical voice is still intact.
“Our work has all been affected … My whole family, including my wife and sister-in-law, has been affected. But we will all come out stronger, ”said Nigam.
Nigam is one of Bollywood’s most popular singers and is known for his posts in interactive media.
He has also performed in Dubai on several occasions at crowded concerts.
Earlier in the week, several Bollywood stars, including Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora, revealed that they are battling the virus.
