Looking back at his life outside of his comedy and his work on both shows, it’s clear that Mo has worked the hardest to get to where he is now.
Growing up, the successful comedian lived in Lambeth, south London.
Sadly, Mo’s parents separated when he was five, which meant he had to split his time between them at their home.
Speaking to The Evening Standard, Mo said he was grateful that they both continue to play an active role in his life, saying, “I think I was very lucky. Many young black boys do not have a father in their life.
“I love him, just me and my mom. Seal invited me to his show at the Palladium – it sounds so weird to say that – so I took my mom.
The comedian rose to fame and an internet sensation when he started uploading comedy videos to his social media accounts while working in retail.
Mo’s breakup moment came in 2017 when he was spotted by Canadian rapper Drake, and from there you can tell the rest is history.
In his personal life, the comedian enjoys a long-standing relationship with his girlfriend and actress Sophie Wise.
Many know Sophie from having previously played Carly Bradley in Hollyoaks.
She has also appeared in a number of television series and films, starting with brief periods in the BBC medical series Holby City and Doctors.
Until recently, Mo was still living with his mother until he bought a five bedroom house in North London.
He confirmed that the couple lived together in their new home.
“I watched Surrey, a lot of people on TV move there, but I work a lot in London so I bought in North London,” he told The Sun. “I bought a five bedroom semi-detached house.
